Dear Colleagues,
Three years after the first International Symposium on Operative and Biologic Treatments in Sports Medicine in 2003, many of the presented techniques and treatments have become routine while others are still under development or have been changed completely. It is time for an update!
The positive response to the first meetings content, format and location have led us to plan the second meeting along a similar theme. Lectures about the latest surgical treatments and the use of biological healing technology, together with live surgical demonstrations of the latest techniques will guarantee a high-quality scientific and instructional experience. Our intention is to create a supportive atmosphere where the exchange of experiences and information within the international sports medicine and orthopaedic community are encouraged.
It is my real pleasure to invite you to ArthroCologne 2007. I have the pleasure to confirm a faculty of many well-renowned specialists from throughout the world, and am delighted to welcome so many of the 2003 faculty once again.
I look forward to seeing you in Cologne!

Dear Guests of ArthroCologne 2007,
It is my real pleasure to welcome you to one of the German sporting high boroughs to discuss the latest updates in minimally invasive orthopaedics and sports medicine.
Throughout my professional soccer career I came to know the importance of minimally invasive and efficient surgical treatment and the value of a balanced but aggressive rehabilitation program.
Now, as president of the number one soccer team in Cologne, 1. FC Köln, the most effective treatment of an injured player is once again an important issue for me.
As team physician of our club, Dr. Peter Schäferhoff diligently searches for new techniques to better treat not only his sporting professionals, but all patients. The exchange of your experiences and debate on new directions in orthopaedics is an integral part of the ongoing development of orthopaedic treatments.
All this makes Cologne an ideal place to host the 2nd International Symposium on Operative and Biologic Treatments in Sports Medicine.
Welcome to the City of Sports. Welcome to Cologne!
